Why Support Let's Beat Malignant Melanoma Together?

Let's Beat Malignant Melanoma Together

I was diagnosed with high risk malignant melanoma earlier this year, and I am currently fighting to beat it. The incidence of malignant melanoma is rising more rapidly than any other type of cancer. There is still a tremendous amount that is unknown as to the causes, prevention, the spreading of the disease in the body, and new methods of treatment and possible cures. Please join me in raising money to fund specific research by Cancer Research UK into how malignant melanoma spreads in the body. I will be running the 2009 Dublin Marathon on October 26 and raising money for this very worthy cause. An extraordinary group of family and friends will also be joining me and running the race: Cory Angerthal, Barry Keane, Lizzie Keane, Simon McGeough, Brian Johnston, Devan Marshall, Chris Meyers, and Robert Dunn. My chin is up and I am staying very positive. I know I am going to beat this, and together we can all make a difference in beating malignant melanoma altogether. Rich P.S. Please note that you can also donate by charity cheque if you prefer. Please make the cheque out to "Cancer Research UK". I will be collecting all the cheques and forwarding to Cancer Research UK with a covering letter advising these are restricted funding in support of Professor Mortimer's "Understanding How Skin Cancer Spreads" project. Please also explore Employer Matching wherever possible. Many thanks again.
