Why Support Alan Scott?

Alan Scott

My husband died from pancreatic cancer 13 years ago . His grandfather died from the same cancer before I met my husband and my father-in-law died three years ago from the same disease. There was no hope when my husband was diagnosed because the cancer presented too late. More needs to be done to screen those with a family history of the disease on a regular basis so that it can be found and treated before it is too late. My husband left two young sons --11 and 14 --at the time he died and I desperately want there to be a screening process in place for them . They are now 24 and 27 . This type of cancer has been consistently underfunded because of a defeatist attitude. Things are now starting to change but that change cannot be implemented without a massive injection of funding . So please please if you want to support cancer research specify pancreatic cancer as the one area you would most like to support. Many many thanks, Sue Scott
