Why Support Voluntary Cancer Donation?

Hello, My name is David. I found this website on the Siemens My Deals site and it inspired me to join. I do have a personal reason for this which I will explain shortly. The goal of this group is to generate donations for a clinical trial to improve the treatment of lung cancer. Lung cancer affects millions of people worldwide and is one of the major forms of cancer around. With this, I hope to help people survive and live a better life after cancer. You can read more about the project on the following link: http://myprojects.cancerresearchuk.org/projects/lung-cancer My personal reason for doing this is that my grandfather passed away when I was 12 years old. I saw him going from a great man, to a withered old body in less than a year. I wasn't even aware of how bad it was until he couldn't stay at home anymore because of the pain. He died while I was away from home and I always wanted to be able to do something about it. Hopefully this will help other people's grandparents, parents, siblings.... Kind Regards, David.
