Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a Government scheme that enables charities to claim the basic rate tax their supporters have already paid on their donations. As such agreeing to Gift Aid will increase the value of your donation by 25% but it won't cost you a penny!

To donate under the gift aid scheme you must be a UK taxpayer. Please be aware that you must have paid an amount of income and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount of tax reclaimed by all charities on all your donations in that tax year (6th April one year to 5th April the next year). Please note that if you pay less income and/or capital gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay the difference.

Please note that we can only claim tax on donations made from a personal bank or building society account. We cannot claim Gift Aid on donations made from company accounts. By ticking yes to Gift Aid you are confirming that the amount donated is a personal donation to Cancer Research UK and is not a collection or sponsorship payment.
