Norfolk Challenge - Walking for Emily
On the 13th August 2012 Emily Turner from Lowestoft died unexpectedly from an aggressive form of lung cancer called small-cell carcinoma. Small cell carcinoma is deemed very rare in non-smokers and Emily had never smoked. She was a young, healthy woman who enjoyed walking regularly with her two dogs. Her diagnosis was not established until after her death. Small cell carcinoma is a very aggressive form of cancer and often found at a late stage because of this. Emily's mother, Christine Turner, is walking East, South and North Norfolk over 14days to raise awareness for lung cancer and lung cancer in non-smokers. The Walk will start from Pakefield in Lowestoft on Bank Holiday May 27th travelling to Walberswick around to Diss, then Peddars way to cromer and finishing along the coast back to Lowestoft. Approximately 250miles. Emily's two dogs Pippa and Daisy will be going along for the journey too
