Thank you from Professor Simon Mackay
To Linda, Terry, Kirsten, Allie and George of Team Toddlers,
I wanted to say a personal thank you for your incredible fundraising efforts in support of our research into prostate cancer. Sadly around 10,000 people die from the disease each year so it is crucial that we find new ways to tackle the disease, and our research is only made possible thanks to exceptional fundraisers like yourselves.
Each member of the team has done an incredible job in raising over £8000 so far, and I understand that particular thanks must go to Linda for organising this merry band of runners and for her constant encouragement and motivation. Your help and support is a source of inspiration for me and my team in our efforts to develop new drugs for prostate cancer patients, so thank you.
Best wishes
Professor Simon Mackay

This thank you is to everyone who worked hard raising money-duck races, swap shops etc. and although the runners are named we maybe had the easy bit - the fund raising was prob harder. El Tel | Saturday 18th Jun 2011, 12:59
