56 Mile walk
Almost 7000 women in the UK are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year, this makes ovarian cancer the 5th most common cancer in women. A very good friend of mine was diagnosed when she was only 19 years old, this is why we have picked this charity to raise money for. On Sunday the 11th August 2013 me and my sister are going to be walking 56 miles to burnley along the Leeds - Liverpool canal to raise money to help fund future life saving treatments for women of all ages diagnosed with ovarian cancer. This should take us on average 14 hours!! Wish us luck, and thank you for taking time to donate :)
CAUSE
Ovarian cancer
Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cancer in UK women, with more than 130 women every week told that they have the disease. It is often not diagnosed until it has spread, making it harder to treat. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to detect ovarian cancer earlier and find better treatments.
