Striding out 13 miles for Bridie!
TEAM BRIDIE - THIRTEEN MILE CHALLENGE
Thirteen – the age when we were in our first year at high school and the age when we first met our late friend, Bridie. We had come to Sprowston High from many different feeder primary schools and Bridie had moved to Norwich from Canvey Island. We found her Essex accent highly amusing. She was too polite to say what she thought of our broad Norfolk!!
Throughout high school, we worked and played together. We all had different strengths but none of us were particularly sporty – some things never change!
After school we stayed in contact. We got together when we could. We celebrated each other’s marriages and welcomed the new borns. We had a fabulous 40th girlie weekend together and vowed we should get together like this every year.
