NHL fundraising: In memory of Bob Apel
Last week my dad, Bob Simon Apel, would have been 99 had he not succumbed to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. This year we decided that instead of spending £50 on Christmas cards and stamps that would end up in the bin Rob and I would donate the money to charity. That decision led to the setting up of this fundraising page, so donations would carry on after December and we would try to raise more money to support NHL. My dad was lucky in the sense that he lived a long and full life before being diagnosed, but NHL affects children, young adults - all ages. If you remember my dad, or even if you just wish to support NHL research, we'd be so grateful for a small donation to this fund. Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Non Hodgkin's lymphoma
Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is the sixth most common cancer in the UK. Professor Andrew Pettitt’s pioneering clinical trial is looking to discover whether a new combination of drugs could be effective in treating older people with the disease, providing a treatment with fewer side effects.
