Hi, our names are Kitty, Ted and Florence and we are cycling 22 miles in the Oxford Rural 22. We do this in memory of Janet (our Mum's Mum) who founded the bike ride, but sadly we never met her as she died of cancer 20 years ago at the age of 46. All three of us have always been involved in the family bike ride and this year is especially important for us because our beloved Great-Aunt Jenny passed away due to the cancer treatments that had weakened her heart 20 years ago. It would be amazing if you could donate to us because every penny is a step closer to beating cancer. Any money you can donate means more children can know their grandmothers. We're sad we didn't know Janet. We miss Jenny. And we're so happy our lovely uncle Nudge has benefited this year from early screening for bowel cancer. Please sponsor us! Nine out of ten cancer deaths are caused by cancer cells spreading around the body in a process called metastasis. Dr Erik Sahai is leading pioneering research to understand metastasis and stop rogue cancer cells breaking free. This could provide new ways of preventing cancer spread, saving thousands of lives.
