Our best friend
In November 2015 our best friend Matthew was diagnosed with a brain tumour. It was thought to be a Glioma grade 2 and it was on the right side at the top of his head and was very near the motoring side of his brain. Matthew coped with the diagnosis very well and carried on with his normal life , working and socialising with friends and family . On 6th January, 2016 his neurosurgeon performed an awake craniotomy on Matt and was able to remove most of the tumour. Unfortunately two weeks later the biopsy report showed that it was actually a grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma . Matthew will have radiotherapy treatment and a tablet form of chemotherapy starting 15th February. Matthew has shown amazing strength and is an inspiration to many. We would like to salute our hero by raising money in Matthew's name to help others in the same situation. We shall be doing this by taking part in numerous events namely the Sutton Fun Run and the Wolf Run both taking place in June 2016.
