Kate Guthrie
Kate Guthrie was just 16 months old when she was diagnosed with a rhabdomyosarcoma. She underwent two major surgeries, massive amounts of chemo and radiotherapy but at no stage did she lose her beautiful smile and the ability to make people laugh.
Since Kate's death in 1994, her family have worked alongside CR-UK in trying to find out why sarcomas occur.
The research that Dr Beatrice and Dr Luke are working on, will hopefully, one day lead to no other child having to endure what Kate did.
Please help us to reach our target of £30,000.
Thank you.
UPDATE - September 2012
Due to the fantastic support from our friends and family, we have smashed our original £30,000 target and are now working towards a revised sum of £49,000 for the sarcoma project. This will enable a further year's research to be funded.
Thank you for helping to make our dream a reality. xx
