Help fund research into kids cancer
WOW! Thank you all so much for sponsoring me yesterday. I was somewhat overwhelmed by your support and it really did help me round, especially during the dark moments (and there were a few!). Your generosity has meant that £1,137.50 was raised for Cancer Research, and specifically the research project into the causes of cancer in children. Hopefully Grant Thornton will pledge £250, which brings the total to a staggering £1,387.50. Thank you all for your support and donations. I finished in 11hrs 59mins (which I was really pleased with). For the statos, my splits were swim 1.13, cycle 6.13 and run 4.23 (10mins changing). Please find attached a photo of me after the race.

Pioneering research into childhood leukaemia
Every day around 11 young people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer. The most common form is acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a cancer of white blood cells. Professor Josef Vormoor’s pioneering research looks at how special cells within the cancer are driving the tumours to come back after treatment.
