Collection in memory of an amazing lady Val
Hi all As you know Jacky's beautiful sister Val sadly passed away last week. Many people from the Queen Fan family and beyond have been in contact to ask if there is anything they can do to help, or where to send flower to or donate and Jacky has aked me to set up a page, in Val's memory where people can donate. There will be a bucket collection at this year's convention for MacMillan Nurses but the online collection for those who wish to donate now, or who aren't attending the convention will be for Cancer Research and will go towards specific funding for research into lung cancer. I know many of you have known Val for years, and many of you may not have met her at all but still have great affection for her. She was a remarkable, kind, funny woman, was supremely organised, kept everyone in check and was like a mother hen keeping her eye out on many of us over the years. I will continue to remember her with a hearty chuckle and a gleam in her eye and as Jacky said, she would really hate all this fuss - but tough, this time Val, we are doing this for you...
