Pancreatic cancer: It is known as the silent killer as early pancreatic cancer often does not cause symptoms. Therefore, it's very difficult to detect early and treat.
My Grandpa was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in March 2011. Unfortunately, it was caught in the later stages and it was not possible to cure him.
Chemotherapy in this case was used to improve his quality of life, and increase his life expectancy. He fought for as long as he could, but due to chemotherapy side effects he suffered from a stroke. He fully recovered from the stroke, but he decided to give up on chemotherapy because of the risk of another stroke.
A few months later he became bedbound and on the 26th of December 2011, the Pancreatic cancer took his life.
