Gareth tries to grow a beard!!
After 30 odd years of shaving every day I thought I would have a go at growing a beard. This gives me an opportunity to raise a few quid for charity and it gives my family, friends and colleagues an opportunity to take the mickey. Two weeks in I was hoping for the George Clooney look. Sadly I've ended up looking more like Jeremy Corbyn! Nevertheless, I will persevere until the end of the month and see how it goes. Pioneering new treatment for prostate cancer
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. World leading expert, Professor Hing Leung, is testing a range of chemicals to see whether they can bring prostate cancer cells back under control. He hopes this early-stage research will lead to better treatments for men in the future.
