INTRODUCTION We have decided that instead of traveling to the Maldives this October to sit in a hammock bathed in the warm glow of the sun whilst being brought cold cocktails and having our brows occasionally mopped, we will instead head to the Himalayas to trek up to see what the tallest place on earth looks like up close... in Winter! In the process of all the hardship, misery and frozen tears, we thought we'd try and raise some money for Cancer Research along the way.

WHY THIS CAUSE? Any opportunity to raise the profile of this disease and earn cash for the people fighting to stop it should be grabbed. It's cancer, and it needs to be wiped from the face of the earth.

OUR TARGET We are trekking for 12 days, climbing up to 5643 metres in altitude (18,000 feet) so the task is simple - we are aiming to raise a minimum of 564 pounds - that's 10p for every metre of altitude we are facing.
