Grandad, this is for you
My Grandad was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer back in 2010. Its a vile disease that takes the lives of over 16,000 men and women each year. This October, after numerous operations, my grandad skipped out of hospital, now cancer free. But the pain of going through such a disease is tough on everyone involved and I just want to do what I can to ease the pain of future sufferers. This money will go towards research into treatment and prevention of Bowel Cancer, along with raising awareness. I will be performing a Charity Skydive with a target of £500 towards Bowel Cancer UK. Any donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. I'm still trying to persuade Grandad to jump with me but that might be a lost casue ;) and besides who doesn't want to see me falling to the ground at over 120mph? Wish me luck!!!
CAUSE
Bobby Moore Fund
Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research. Since the fund was set up , bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by over 30%. However, with 46 people losing their life to the disease every day in the UK, we still have a long way to go.
