Help me raise money for lung cancer research
Hi Everyone, If you've got to this page its because better late than never I have organised my fund raising at last!! The Story is that over the last two years several members of my family have been diagnosed with cancer. The final straw came earlier this year when my amazing vibrant (young) Grandma got diagnosed with lung cancer and a secondary liver. I have to admit I thought the gig was up at that time. If any of you have experienced this, the first few days after hearing "some news" are the worst, as you haven't got all the facts and it can seem worse than it actually is (optimism there!). Anyway I digress, I should let you know that I have always been close to this very funny lady, her sense of humour is infectious and the news didn't go down well. The only thing I could come up with, as I was working over the summer was to put all the negative energy into something proactive, I decided to do my second marathon. I hope that you with please, please sponsor me and help me raise money for such an important cause. I am so happy to say that things seem to have made an incredible turn around (fingers are always crossed and not tempting fate now) but we recently went on a week holiday to Venice as a family and although my Grandma was tired a lot, the disease is in remission. This could not have happened without so many people raising money for the research and treatment of cancer in the past. So please help us raise money for future familes and patients. My ambitious marathon time is 3hrs 30. 3o minutes off the last, any bonus sponsor for this is much appraciated! But however big or small the amount please help me raise some money for such an amazing cause. Thank you all for any support you give Carmen
