My first ever marathon

My Story

Hi All I am running the Brighton Marathon in aid of Cancer Research. This is a fantastic charity and the staff and volunteers work endlessly to support cancer victims and those affected by cancer. I am running in particular to help raise money for the research in to Sarcoma. A close friend of mine suffered a tragic loss due to this disease and has dedicated their life to raising awareness and supporting cancer research through volunteering, donating and holding fund raising events. Any dontation/sponsorship will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Cath xx

CAUSE

Sarcoma

Sarcomas are cancers that develop from any of the supporting tissues in the body, such as muscle or fat. That means they can develop and grow almost anywhere. Each year around 3,300 people are diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma in the UK – that’s around 9 cases diagnosed every day. Donations can help Cancer Research UK find out what causes them and develop better, kinder treatments to improve the outlook for patients.
