Unfortunately cancer affects everyone's lives and as a team we too have felt its devastating effects. We see our fundraising efforts as a fitting legacy in memory of Gary Noakes, a beloved member of the Casella team who sadly passed away from cancer in 2012. Gary was an artistic, creative and innovative individual. He was thoughtful, warm and genuine and most of all made us laugh. Casella operates in the occupational health industry and understands the importance of research into the prevention of occupational diseases, such as cancer. While we fight to reduce the effect of external influences on cancer such as dust in the work place, we also want to help Cancer Research tackle the internal variants that could lead to cancer especially in their DNA based research. Over the next year Casella will be getting involved in all sorts of fundraising events from senior management car washes, fun runs, fancy dress days, cake bake sales as well as volunteering our time all in aid of raising valuable funds for a valuable cause.
