My Story

My father (Dick Flockhart) died in June 2013 from Bowel Cancer. After surviving from Stomach Cancer treatment in 2003 he then developed bowel cancer. Having witnessed the effects of this horrid disease, I want to raise money to support Cancer Research. I regularly undertake family and local history research for people all over the world and do not make any charge for small pieces of research. In future I am requesting that all clients make a donation to Cancer Research for this type of project. The picture shows 3 generations of Flockharts: Thomas Richard Flockhart (Dad) William Mitchell Flockhart (Grandpa) and his wife Jenny Susan Hutchison Farmer Ritchie Flockhart (Great Grandmother)

CAUSE

Developing new treatments for bowel cancer

There's been dramatic progress in tackling bowel cancer, but it still claims around 44 lives each day in the UK. Dr Mariann Bienz is investigating how to stop cancer cells growing and multiplying to form bowel tumours, which could lead to the development of new and better drugs for people with bowel cancer.
