Bjs charity bike ride and walk 2016

This annual bike ride was set up in the memory of Mr Bijay Khela, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 41 after 4 year battle with cancer. He tackled his illness with tremendous courage, unwavering humour and an optimism that has become a lifelong inspiration to us all. This year a group of approx 50 fundraisers will be talking part in our 12 mile peak district walk, a 450 mile bike ride from the north sea to the atlantic ocean and also pete and gaff will be doing the London marathon, the money raised over the 6 previous bike rides and walks enabled us to by equipment for a local hospital in Wolverhampton that had treated and cared for Bijay. We also donated money to Macmillan nurses and the Promise Dreams charity that that helps seriously and terminally ill children fulfil their wishes. We also through the India Housing Project helped build new homes for 30 of the poorest families in India giving them safe and secure accommodation and in 2011 we also supported the ms society, cancer research and nspcc, the steve bull foundation and marie curie cancer, we have raised over £159000 with the support of freinds and family over the last 6 years.Our nominated charities this year will be cancer research, C.R.Y WOLVES, unique home for girls, let us play, click Sargeant, rays of sunshine and the steve bull foundation. please give generously.
