My 40th Birthday Wish

My Story

Instead of birthday presents from my nearest and dearest this year I would like them to donate, if they so wish, to this research project. My little brother has this very rare type of cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma, and as yet there is no cure. It is not a commonly known one and I would like more people to be aware of it. It is rare and aggressive and like all cancers devastating to sufferers and their families. Please find out more about it by going to my fundraising page and feel free to share.

CAUSE

Sarcoma

Sarcomas are cancers that develop from any of the supporting tissues in the body, such as muscle or fat. That means they can develop and grow almost anywhere. Each year around 3,300 people are diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma in the UK – that’s around 9 cases diagnosed every day. Donations can help Cancer Research UK find out what causes them and develop better, kinder treatments to improve the outlook for patients.
