Now you can. Cast for Life is a new opportunity for the UK's anglers to help us beat cancer. It is part of MyProjects, a unique way of supporting the work of Cancer Research UK by allowing you to donate or fundraise by specific cancer type.

There are two easy ways to get involved. You can either hold a fishing tournament, or get friends and family to sponsor you for your catch.

Hold a tournament
Holding a fishing tournament is a great way to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. As the tournament organiser you get to choose which cancer type you support, and as an added bonus, the first fifty people to set up angling tournaments will receive a bundle of Korda and Guru tackle to give away as prizes to their winning competitors.

Get sponsored for your catch
A quick way to raise funds through fishing is to get your friends and family to sponsor you for the amount or weight of fish you catch on a trip. Simply choose a date and suggest a sponsorship amount, e.g. £1 for each lb of fish or £1 per fish. Then get fishing! Don't forget to send photos to our sponsored catch page - where you'll also be able to compare your catch with others.
